The purposes behind the breakdown are given underneath: No Buyer The significant reason for the breakdown of the Lehman Brothers is non accessibility of the purchaser at the time before the organization has petitioned for financial protection. On the off chance that the organization would have discovered the purchaser, at that point the circumstance of documenting the liquidation insurance would not have emerged. On account of different organizations like Merrill Lynch and Bear Sterns, and so forth who have confronted the equivalent monetary emergency yet have not applied for the insolvency insurance as they have the purchasers at a beginning time (Azadinamin, 2013). Has Hosting the London 2012 free essay sample
The offer for the games was driven by London 2012; ââ¬Ëa multi-office partner gathering, setting the vision and key heading for the gamesââ¬â¢ (Department of Culture, Media and Sport 2012). 204 contending countries, in excess of 10,000 competitors, fourteen days of sports, and the games were finished. Be that as it may, was it a triumph? This is a subject of conversation to a great extent contended. Group GB positively outflanked anybodyââ¬â¢s desires winning 29 gold decoration and 64 complete awards, which made it the best British exhibition since 1904. An especially striking statement from a report in the Melbourne Age depicts the accomplishment as, ââ¬Å"The just end taking off of the arena for the last time was that the most wonderful opening service propelled the best Olympics which were concluded by a raving success epitaphâ⬠(Wilson 2012). In any case, not every person considers the to be as an example of overcoming adversity and inside this article I will investigate the advantages, yet in addition the contrary effects which facilitating the Olympics brought to East London. The central inquiry, which this article will reply, is whether the Olympics will leave an enduring heritage or will the advantages go somewhere else and not arrive at the neighborhood network. The evaluation of the Olympic Legacy will be part into three separate segments; monetary, donning, and recovery. Stratford, East London was the area of the games. A region recently denied following the end of one of the worldââ¬â¢s biggest docks, thinking back to the 1970s. Joblessness came to almost 20% not long after the nearby and the neighborhood network got ran down and overlooked, being depicted as ââ¬Ëa dusty wastelandââ¬â¢ (Oliver 2012). The London 2012 games carried expectation and potential to a district in urgent need. Presently, following the games various expenses and advantages can recognized yet the genuine inquiries are, what is the enduring impact? Has the Olympic 2012 guarantee of an enduring inheritance been satisfied? The Olympic Legacy is characterized by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport 2012) as ââ¬Å"the longer-term advantages and impacts of the arranging, financing, building and organizing of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in summer 2012â⬠. Right off the bat, we can take a gander at the financial heritage of the games. The workplace for national insights demonstrated that during August 2012, the travel industry levels rose to 3 million, up from 2 million on the earlier year. Of this, the games were said t o get a little more than 590,000 guests, whom of which spent a normal of ? 1,290 during their remain (Telegraph staff amp; organizations 2012). The financial lift as far as utilization during the games is unmistakably recognizable however the achievement of the heritage is as yet being esteemed. Anyway Wells (2012) accepts that ââ¬Å"As an aftereffect of the cityââ¬â¢s raised media introduction, the 2012-2017 inheritance stage is relied upon to see an extra 1. 1 million guests per year, worth ? 900 million. â⬠As well as the travel industry inundation, we can take a gander at the monetary inheritance as far as foundation venture. A ââ¬ËInspired Facilities Olympic Legacy Fundââ¬â¢ has been set up following the games, with a case of speculation being ? 1. million into thirty games bases on the East Midlands to restore and assemble offices, for example, another clubhouse at Houghton Tennis Club, and waterfront advancement at Hykenham Sailing Club (Sport England 2012). This isn't just a financial heritage through subsidizing, yet additionally adds to the social inheritance of the games through endeavors to build s upport and consolation in sports. The heritage benefits are in this way appeared in expanded the travel industry from the media introduction of Olympic foundation and furthermore inheritance financing all through the nation. In any case, we ought not overlook the all out expenses of facilitating the Olympics at over ? 1 billion (House of Commonsââ¬â¢ Public Accounts Committee 2012), an enormous level of which should be recovered either straightforwardly or in a roundabout way however government spending cuts, or an expansion in charge levels. So along these lines where the media uncovered the advantages of facilitating the games, for example, expanded venture and improvement, this all must be subsidized through open records which requires diminished advantages somewhere else, or cuts in family unit extra cash levels. The brandishing heritage of the 2012 Olympics was consistently at the front line of government consideration. The offer for the games included the trademark ââ¬ËInspire a Generationâ⬠with the purpose for the motto being to trigger inclusion of youngsters in sports and taking up new exercises (Magnay 2012). There are two projects acquainted with empower network sports; ââ¬ËPlaces People Playââ¬â¢ and a ââ¬ËJoin inââ¬â¢ program. ââ¬ËPlaces People Playââ¬â¢ is a joint organization activity between Sport England and the British Olympic Association with the point of ââ¬Å"making the advantages of London 2012 obvious in urban areas, towns and towns over the countryâ⬠(SportEngland. rg 2012). The objectives include the security and improvement of several playing fields the nation over, modernizing and broadening club offices and ââ¬ËSports Makersââ¬â¢ preparing, ââ¬Å"providing free business aptitudes, preparing and backing to those doing the everyday running of network sportsâ⬠(Sports England 2012). The ââ¬ËJoin Inââ¬â¢ program follows similar ob jectives, of getting individuals to participate in sports in their neighborhood networks. Notwithstanding, the program will be run in various brandishing ends of the week at different areas the nation over. UK competitors and decoration victors, over a significant time span, will go to network sports focuses and exhibit their games and urge individuals to get included (Head 2012). The wearing heritage is tied in with getting included and the main composed end of the week saw more than 5,000 people taking an interest in 9 distinct areas around the UK in games, for example, arrow based weaponry, water polo, boxing, BMX, cruising and some more. The projects are intended to outfit the enchantment excitement for sport and chipping in the Olympics made. Both the ââ¬ËJoin inââ¬â¢ and ââ¬ËPlaces People Playââ¬â¢ programs go about as a type of government supported social approach thoughts which not just have the aim of expanding contribution in sport, yet additionally diminishing the social issue of corpulence in young people. MP Rehman Chisti talked about how ââ¬Ëââ¬â¢tackling stoutness is a significant test that should represent a critical piece of the heritage to the 2012 Olympic gamesâ⬠. Preceding the games, interest levels of the encompassing Olympic host precincts were as low as 18. 5% (Sport England 2011). Besides, hardship and corpulence levels of youngsters matured 7-11 were at an untouched high of 20% in young men and 22% in young ladies (Queen Mary University 2009). Follow-up investigate is still as of now being prepared anyway in general UK insights show disturbing outcomes, with weight levels still on the ascent. Results show 27% of guys, and 29% of females to be classed as large as far as Body Mass Index (BMI) appraisals (Eastwood 2013). Despite the fact that expectation ought not be lost, the association programs are probably going to be dependent upon a period slip by and future forecasts show the level of the populace classed s large, set to fall. Recovery is the last inheritance area to consider. Recovery of Stratford started in the late 1980s with the improvement of encompassing zones, for example, Canary Wharf, Londonââ¬â¢s money related center point, assisting with making little pockets of riches. Notwithstanding, it wasnââ¬â¢t until the conclusion of the 2012 offer that things started to take off. The games went about as an impetus for venture, revival and monetary development. David Cameron expressed in a discourse given to Loughborough University that ââ¬Ëââ¬â¢a aggregate of ? billion has been put into East London, carrying with it the production of 46,000 development occupations with about 20% of the workforce from the nearby precincts, almost 11,000 new homes, and a ? 1. 4 billion complex of lodgings, workplaces and Westfield strip mall assisting with making more jobsââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬â¢ (Number10. gov. uk 2012). Then again, we can't overlook the loss of business and occupation that the recovery has caused. Several employments had been lost where business had to up-and-leave clearing a path for the Olympic turn of events, with almost 80 associations still in struggle with the neighborhood authority in regards to pay. Besides, BBC news (2012) discloses to us how people were ââ¬Å"forced out of their pads to clear a path for the Olympicsâ⬠where private inhabitants were hoping to profit by the inundation of people for the Olympics. Regarding the eventual fate of recovery, one on-going heritage advancement is the ? 300 million development venture supported by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) to rebuild the Olympic plot into the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The undertaking structures some portion of the East London Regeneration strategy plan to change over East London into another guest goal (Gov. k 2012). As recently referenced, close by offering new homes and office space, the approach means to create schools and shops, additionally incorporating green spaces to make a social network in the core of East London. Just as this the recreation center is to turn into a favored vacation destination with anticipating of ââ¬Ëover a million guests every year by 2016ââ¬â¢ carrying with it all the financial advantages of the travel industry. (Degun 2013) The program won't stop at the advancement of the recreation center. A future plan has been declared with a dream of long haul the executives of the recreation center and encompassing neighborhoods. The Legacy Communities Scheme (LCS) will include the joint effort of accomplices, partners and the legislature over a time of 18 years from 2013 â⬠2031 (Ogundiya 2013). At last, the London 2012 games are being hailed as one of the most ecologically maintainable yet. For instance, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park improvement incorporates a ââ¬ËBiodiversity Action Planââ¬â¢ inclu

Health Care Needs Of Migrants In London And Challenges Experienced In
Health Care Needs Of Migrants In London And Challenges Experienced In Health Care Needs Of Migrants In London And Challenges Experienced In The Communites â" Article Example > Healthcare Needs of Immigrants in London2008IntroductionIn any multi-cultural community, health differences and hence healthcare requirements are determined by the cultural, social and economic parameters. Analysis of determinants of health differences between communities is then essentially one of studying the materialist conditions resulted by the social inequalities in terms of environmental factors. However, social hierarchies may not always obviate the differences in health attainment. Although health researchers accept the fact that socio-economic status - the most obvious and obtainable data - is the bedrock of studying public health, there may be various levels of differences in the socio-economic strata that complicate the matter. To explore the matter, the materialist approach that is by studying the absolute differences in absolute poverty, is different from the psycho-social approach, that is studying differences in relative poverty that affects public health and healt hcare requirements also through differences in relative value perceptions of socio-economic status. In this paper, I will analyze the healthcare requirements of the immigrant communities in London. To begin with, I will discuss the effect of urban poverty â" both absolute and relative - on health will follow since a large section of the immigrant population is poor. Then, I will discuss in detail the composition of the immigrant population in the city of London and peculiarities of health and healthcare requirements of these communities. I will then detail the risks of epidemics and contagious diseases originating from the immigrant population. This will be followed by a discussion on cultural health of different communities and the implications for nursing. The paper will be rounded up with listing of scope for future research. Urban Poverty and HealthNot only does absolute poverty result in various public health problems, income inequalities and relative poverty aggravate many diseases. Hence, it is important to understand the sociological backdrop in order to properly tackle public health problems, particularly in urban areas like London. Malnutrition, overcrowding, lack of hygienic sanitation and living near industrial premises have severe effects on the health of the urban poor. They, particularly the children, are prone to work-related diseases and environmental hazards. Not only does lack of income inhibit their access to proper medication, the subsistence income and casual nature of jobs do not allow them to take leave from work even when they are ill (World Bank). In the social approach, differences in health among groups of population can be explained through socio-economic differences, that is differences in income, social stratification, access to social capital, social connectedness, gender and other such social parameters (Philips, 2005). Income inequalities between different groups of people are found to result in differences in life expecta ncy and mortality rates (Fiscella Franks, 1997). The relationship between income inequality and mortality rate is found in differences in investment of social capital, that is investments in social trusts and membership of voluntary groups for health matters (Kawachi et al, 1997). In this approach to public health, social cohesion is seen to be a more important factor than individual lifestyle parameters for establishing the basis for public health and epidemiology. As a corollary, interventions strategies to improve community health needs to be targeted towards the social parameters. Treatment approaches then focus towards building the âsocial capitalâ rather than âindividual treatmentâ. Hence, the political environment that âsensitisesâ the social divide and income inequalities are more important than individual causal model (Lomas, 1999).

ââ¬Å"It is human nature to want patterns, standards, and a structure of behavior. We will write a custom essay sample on The Scarlet Letter Essay or any similar topic only for you Order Now Whether it is someone like the Puritans in the Scarlet Letter who believes that life should be lived in a strict manner, or whether it is someone who cannot stand a uniform life, there will be never a time when everyone accepts or denies this quote. People feel safe and confident when they are given standards or expectations. This gives them reassurance that they are living their lives the right way. For an example, in Nathaniel Hawthorneââ¬â¢s novel, The Scarlet Letter, the townspeople look down upon Hester Prynne because of the crime she committed. Hester Prynne broke a law which reinforced the bystanderââ¬â¢s confidence on how they were living their lives. This causes the townspeople to feel safe and protected so they decide to mock and taunt Hester to make themselves feel stronger. People also conform to live their lives in a strict manner because sometimes they just need guidance. After Hester was released from prison, she decided to live her life helping the poor and elderly. Hester does this because she is lost and does not know how to live her life anymore after she strayed off the strict path the Puritans were suppose to follow. Although many may find happiness in a habitual lifestyle, many other people may find happiness in a carefree life. Living a life without patterns or standards can help greatly in a positive way. Living an unpredictable life allows the person to be able to experience many different things that will teach them how to be insightful and decide right from wrong. In The Scarlet Letter, Hester commits adultery which is deviating from the path a Puritan is suppose to take. But because of what she did, she was able to give birth to her daughter who she loves so much, find the man she truly loves, and see the hidden darkness that was buried deep within Roger Chillingworthââ¬â¢s heart. Because she decided to stray from the path a puritan is suppose to take, her life turned out for the better. In the quote,â⬠It is human nature to want patterns, standards, and a structure of behavior. A pattern to conform to is a kind of shelterâ⬠, it has become clear that depending on the reader, whether they are someone who likes a unchanging lifestyle, or whether they are someone who enjoys experiencing something new every day, it is up to them to decide if they feel safe to agree or disagree to this quote. No matter if the reader chooses to disagree or agree to the quote, both choices come with negative and positives outcomes. How to cite The Scarlet Letter Essay, Essay examples

Why I Started a New Blog When I Already Have 4
Many of you may not know that I own and manage four blogs and I recently started a new one. As a mom to twins, a freelance writer, coach and author of a freelance course, you can see Im pretty busy. Why would I even fathom starting a new blog when I already have 4? I dont know a lot about other freelance writers except the ones I hang out with (hey Lorraine!) but I like starting new projects. And other bloggers feel the same way! Cori Ramos of Not Now Moms Busy started a new blog called CorinaRamos.net. Freelance writer Alicia Rades, has her freelance site, author site and blogging guide site. Im creative and love exploring the creative and passionate side of freelance writing. If youre considering starting another blog, but just not sure you can handle it or really think its a good idea, Im here to tell you go for it! There are a ton of benefits to having more than one blog. But, before I get into that, I want to let you in on why I created TwinsMommy in the first place. What? Another Mom Blog? (Not Really) About a month ago I was sitting around talking with my hubby about the idea of starting another blog. See, currently I have four blogs: Innovative Ink ââ¬â my professional writer website for my freelance writing business FreelancerFAQs ââ¬â a multi-author site for freelancers. I own, manage and contribute to the blog LifeStyleBody ââ¬â a multi-author lifestyle blog. I try to contribute to this blog when I can, but I mainly manage the content schedule and the guest contributors ElnaCain ââ¬â this site! You see, this blog here is the only one I consistently have to write posts for. All the others either dont have a blog or have multiple authors. So, the idea of having another personal blog like ElnaCain, didnt seem like a huge jump. I write one blog post a week for this blog, I knew I would have time to write another post, so I went ahead and started TwinsMommy. I wanted a broader site about moms, blogging and freelancing. While I touch a little bit on being a mom and a freelance writer on my ElnaCain site, that is not my focus; my focus is on providing tips for new and budding freelance writers. With this new site, I would talk more about my life with twins, but also speak to moms who are or thinking about working from home. And thats what TwinsMommy is about! But, as I started writing posts and attracting an audience, I learned that I wanted to do more than just talk about being a work-at-home mom, I wanted to help these mamas go from being a mom to being a mompreneur. I decided early on that I wanted to try monetizing a new blog in a new niche. Im happy with how TwinsMommy turned out ââ¬â both visually, branding wise and content wise ââ¬â and cant believe how some of my posts have had tons of shares and over 50 comments already! Some of my popular posts are: Upgrade Your Blog Comments With This One Traffic Generating Tip 22 Freelance Services You Can Offer as a Stay At Home Mom 5 Essential Tools You Need to Successful Work at Home Im also shocked by how generous mommy bloggers are. Ive already been asked to contribute on three blogs and I belong to several private Facebook mommy blogger groups that are highly supportive. Besides the generosity and supportive nature, what other benefits are there to starting a new blog? 1. Im Reaching a New Audience I was a bit worried that I would be attracting the same audience as I have for this blog, but Ive met so many new people that I know Im reaching a new audience. One thing you can do for your freelance career is to network and extend your reach as far as you can online. By e-meeting new bloggers and networking with other people, you start joining new inner circles, which just gets your name out there more. 2. Im Sparking My Creativity I love designing and branding things. Visuals are my thang! So, when I have the opportunity to extend my creative wings and design, Im all for it. I designed the TwinsMommy logo and tried something new by using a gradient to incorporate pink and blue to signify my boy/girl twins. I created a visual brand for each of my TwinsMommy images, which is helping me form a brand with my images on this blog. And, the best thing about starting TwinsMommy was the flood of blog post ideas! Because I had a broader list of topics to write about (work from home, productivity, mompreneur, twins life and blogging) I came up with dozens and dozens of blog post ideas in under an hour. This creativity extended to generating ideas for clients and for this blog too. 3. A New Income Stream One of the best ways you can always ensure a healthy income as a freelance writer is by diversifying your income. My plan for TwinsMommy is to grow that blog so that I can eventually monetize it. Whether its with affiliate marketing or designing another course, this is a nice way to generate more income. And who doesnt like more money, right? Although TwinsMommy isnt generating any income ââ¬â unless someone clicks on a link back to my site and buys my course ââ¬â Ill be gearing up for that in the next few months. 4. Its Helping Me Build My Design Portfolio In my 2016 goals post I mentioned that Im planning on opening up a website design/development company called InkLink. While Im hoping this service will be up and running soon, for now Im growing my portfolio whenever I create a new site. This will help once I launch InkLink and give customers some ideas of what types of sites me and my husband design. 5. Its A New Marketing Strategy I mention this blog and my course several times in my TwinsMommy blog posts. This isnt a mistake; rather, its a calculated effort to grow a new audience and get my course to these new people. Because of TwinsMommy, Im focusing my efforts on Pinterest marketing and even signed up for Tailwind to help me grow my following and traffic which is totally working! When Do I Have Time to Do This All? Currently Im writing two blog posts a week over on TwinsMommy! And, like I mentioned, one blog post a week here. I also have a full plate of client work during the month as well. So, I really dont have a lot of time to spare, but why am I writing two posts a week when I have about a ba-jillion projects due each month? For starters, its a new blog and it needs content to grow authority and ranking in Google. Ill do my best to post twice a week, but I know there will be a time when I will have to drop it to once a week. Another reason I am doing two posts a week over there is because I can do it.à Writing in this freelance/work at home/blogging niche is in my wheelhouse and I can whip out posts in under an hour no problem. Especially if they are about me. Im crossing my fingers that I can keep up with this content schedule, especially since summer is usually slow online, I feel I can keep it up until the fall at least. Have I scared you or inspired you to start a new blog? Tell me in the comments and remember to Pin me!

Play opens aboard a ship in the midst of a tempestuous storm Essay Example Play opens aboard a ship in the midst of a tempestuous storm Essay Play opens aboard a ship in the midst of a tempestuous storm Essay Essay Topic: The Tempest Act One Play opens aboard a ship in the midst of a tempestuous storm. The king of Naples and his entourage enter. They dont seem to realise the full importance of the storm much to the annoyance of the Boatswain; you mar our labour, keep your cabins, you do assist the storm. The king and his entourage return to their cabins to pray as they realise their doom. The next scene introduces us to Miranda and her father Prospero Miranda confronts her father because she believes he conjured up the storm; if by your art (my dearest father) you have the wild waters in this roar, allay them. Prospero tells her no harm was done to anybody aboard the brave vessel Miranda learns how they came to be on the island. Prospero was the Duke of Milan but his brother usurped him and left Prospero and baby Miranda drift out to sea in a leaky boat. Miranda is clearly shocked by his story; your tale, sir, would cure deafness. Prospero sends Miranda into an enchanted sleep and calls Ariel. Ariel tells Prospero nobody was hurt in the ship wreck; Not a hair perishd: on their sustaining garments not a blemish. Ariel asks Prospero, after twelve years of service if he will free her. Prospero angered, tells the story of how he freed Ariel from Sycoraxs magic and then agrees to release Ariel; After two days, I will release thee. Ariel leaves and Caliban is called upon by Prospero; Come forth I say. come thou tortoise. Prospero hates Caliban for trying to rape Miranda; thou didst seek to violate the honour of my child. Caliban hates Prospero too, and recalls how he was once the ruler of the island, before Prospero and Miranda arrived; this islands mine, by my mother Sycorax. Caliban leaves and Ariel returns with Ferdinand, Prince of Naples believing his father is dead. Both Miranda and Ferdinand upon sight of each other are smitten. Miranda is curious for shes never seen another man; what is t spirit? Prospero tells Ferdinand he must work for him before marrying Miranda. Act Two Scene opens with Alonso, the King upset because he thinks his only son Ferdinand is dead. Gonzalo is doing his best to comfort the King to no avail and Sebastian and Anthonio make a joke out of it all and mock Gonzalos good nature. Fie, what a spendthrift is he of his tongue! Ariel enters and sends Alonso, Gonzalo, Adrian and Francisco into an enchanted sleep. Anthonio and Sebastian plot to kill Alonso and Gonzalo. Here lies your brother. if he were that which now hes like (thats dead) whom I with this obedient steel three inches of it can lay to bed forever Ariel awakens Gonzalo and the others just as Sebastian and Anthonio raise their swords. ALONSO: Why are you drawn? Sebastian and Anthonio say they heard a hollow burst of bellowing and drew their swords. They are believed. Play cuts to Caliban cursing Prospero. All the infections that the sun sucks up from bogs, fens, flats, on Prosper fall and make him by inchmeal a disease! Trinculo, the court jester enters and Caliban mistakes him for one of Prosperos spirits and hides under his cloak. Trinculo gets under the cloak to hide from the rain and thinks Caliban is a strange fish Were I in England now (as once I was) and had but this fish painted, not a holiday fool there but would give a piece of silver. Stephano, the court Butler enters rather drunk and singing. He sees what he believes is a two headed beast and gives him some wine to remove his fit Caliban has never tasted alcohol before and likes it so much he believes Stephano is a God and looks upon him as a new master. Trinculo and Stephano are reunited when Stephano realises that Caliban doesnt have two heads really. Act Three Prospero has set Ferdinand the task of carrying heavy logs. Miranda offers to help him but he declines. This my mean task would be as heavy to me as odious, but the mistress which I serve quickens whats dead, and makes my labours pleasures. As Miranda and Ferdinand grow closer, Prospero enters and Miranda pleads with him to stop being so harsh to Ferdinand. Miranda agrees to marry Ferdinand. I am your wife, if you will marry me; We now see Caliban, Stephano and Trinculo again all drunk. Ariel wreaks havoc between them by imitating Trinculos voice calling Caliban a liar. Caliban becomes aggravated and Stephano punches Trinculo. Trinculo, if you trouble him any more ins tale, by this hand, I will supplant some of your teeth. Together they plot to kill Prospero and then Stephano will become King of the island. Ariel hears everything and returns to Prospero. This will I tell my master. Scene three opens with the royal party again. Anthonio and Sebastian are still plotting to kill the King and Gonzalo. Prospero conjures up a banquet for the King and his entourage. Alonso is amazed. What harmony is this? My good friends hark! The strange shapes have put down a banquet and vanished. The party go to eat the food and Ariel enters disguised as a harpy and the banquet vanishes. Ariel addresses the Royals who stand amazed and fearful at the sight of the harpy. You are three men of sin, whom destiny that hath to instrument this lower world and what is int, the never surfeited sea hath caused to belch up you Once Ariel leaves, Alonso remorses his involvement in the vanquishing of Prospero and his daughter and believes that destiny killed his son because of it. The name of Prosper. It did bass my trespass. Therefore my son Ith ooze is bedded. Sebastian and Anthonio still do not see sense and vow to fight their legions oer. Act Four Prospero explains to Ferdinand that if the tasks he set were too harsh it was because he wanted to see whether Ferdinand was a suitable match for Miranda. If I have too austerely punished you, your compensation makes amends, for I have given you here a third of mine life. Prospero warns Ferdinand that if he takes Mirandas virginity before they are properly married then he shall make them childless. Ferdinand assures him he will preserve Mirandas honour. Ariel is called upon to conjure a masque. Enter Iris, Junos and Ceres, the cosmic union of earth and air, fire and water and they sing songs of chaste love. Upon this man and maid, whose vows are that no bed-right shall be paid till hymens torch be lighted. Iris calls upon nymphs and sickle men to perform a dance. This represents to Miranda and Ferdinand a dance of fertility. Prospero remembers the plot to kill him by Caliban and his new master Stephano and becomes angry. I had forgot that foul conspiracy of the beast Caliban and his confederates against my life. Ariel informs Prospero that Caliban and company are all drunk; red-hot with drinking, so full of valour they smote the air Prospero decides to make his enemies suffer. Caliban, Stephano and Trinculo enter and discover a line of glistening apparel They take the clothes and try them on. Ariel has led them through bracken and brambles and swamps and they have lost the remainder of their alcohol. Caliban grows impatient and reminds Stephano of the plot to kill Prospero. Prospero unleashes his spirits in the shape of dogs and hounds, on Caliban, Stephano and Trinculo. Go charge my goblins that they grind their joints with dry convulsions. Act Five Ariel gently persuades Prospero to take pity on the King and forgive his enemies. In a bid to end everyones suffering, Prospero calls the Royal Entourage into a circle with his magic. Ye elves of hills, brooks, standing lakes and grovesand deeper than ever did plummet sound Ill drown my book. At the end of his long speech where he vows to give up magic and live his last days as mortal, the Royals are stood in a circle around him charmed. Awakening from their trance, the Royals gasp at the sight of Prospero. Behold, sir King, the wronged Duke of Milan, Prospero! Prospero tells the King of the plot Sebastian and Anthonio devised to kill him and tells Anthonio his opinion of him. He then forgives Anthonio for his wrongdoing. Whom to call brother would even infect my mouth, I do forgive thy rankest fault. Prospero then brings in Ferdinand and Miranda and Alonso is overjoyed that his son is not dead and also that he has found a wife. Miranda is amazed by the circle of men and touches them all in turn. O wonder! How many goodly creatures are there here! The Boatswain and the Master enter and takes everyone to the newly recovered ship that but three glasses since we gave out split is tight and yare and bravely rigged as when we first put out to sea. Before they leave, Ariel drives in Caliban, Stephano and Trinculo. They are all punished for their plot and actions. Caliban seeks forgiveness from Prospero and regrets ever worshipping Stephano. What a thrice-doubled ass was I to take this drunkard for a god and worship this dull fool. Ariel is freed by Prospero, and vanishes immediately. Once everybody has returned to the ship, Prospero delivers a long speech in which he relinquishes his magic for his dukedom. He talks subtly about his death, which he believes will come very soon after he returns to Milan. But release me from my bands with the help of your good hands. And my ending is despair, unless I be received by prayer Let your indulgence set me free.

The 6 Hardest Interview Questions of 2016
The 6 Hardest Interview Questions of 2016 According to the Five Oââ¬â¢Clock Club, the days of ââ¬Å"So, do you have any questions for us?â⬠are over. Interviewers are getting much more devious in the questions theyââ¬â¢re asking candidates to get them thinking outside the box. Sometimes tough interview questions can mean a higher job satisfaction rating later on. Here are some of the hardest interview questions from 2015 and what you might expect in 2016: 1. ââ¬Å"How much would you charge to wash all the windows in Seattle?â⬠Questions like this are designed to see how quickly and well you think on your feet. Will you go the long road and try to estimate how many windows there are in all of Seattle? Or fire back a fixed price per window or per hour? Either way, be sure to explain your thought process to your interviewer, as thatââ¬â¢s what your interviewer is most interested in hearing.SEE ALSO:à How Would You Answer This Crazy Interview Question?2. ââ¬Å"Explain a database to your eight-year-old neph ew.â⬠This is a Google standby to see if you can translate tech speak into normal-person speak. Keep it short and sweet and clear.3. ââ¬Å"What did you have for breakfast?â⬠This is a double punch of catching you off-guard and seeing whether youââ¬â¢ll fit in. If itââ¬â¢s a granola crowd and you had bacon-wrapped sausages for breakfast, you might be in trouble. The best strategy is just to be yourself. Itââ¬â¢s better to fit in somewhere else than work in a climate that doesnââ¬â¢t suit you.4. ââ¬Å"Describe the color yellow to someone who is blind.â⬠How creative are you? Are you sensitive? Able to express the abstract and think outside the box? This is a test of your wits and your insight, but if you train yourself to look at things from multiple angles, youââ¬â¢ll be better prepared for this kind of question.5. ââ¬Å"If you sat down at your desk and found 1,000 emails in your inbox but you could answer only 300 of them, how would you choose?â⬠What are your priorities? How do you triage under fire? Are you organized? Do you have the right sense of whatââ¬â¢s important to the company? The best answer is usually that youââ¬â¢d prioritize emails from your biggest client, your boss, or anything super-important or time-sensitive. Everything else can wait.6. ââ¬Å"Tell me about a time when you had a disagreement with your manager. How was it resolved?â⬠This is actually a classic question, but always a good one to prepare for. Consumer behaviour and organic food purchases Essay
Consumer behaviour and organic food purchases - Essay Example Present scenario is marked by an increasing requirement as well as craving for organic food by the consumers. This is so because they find organic food qualifying their parameters of quality and safety. Also the agricultural principles and practices of organic food are not harmful for the environment. The graph of this requirement may touch new heights in the future. Not all the countries have a uniform and same picture regarding the nature, standard and figure of production ,yet there is a remarkable swell in the number of organic farms in all European Union (EU) Member States since the 1992 reform of the common agricultural policy (CAP) However, in total just under 2 per cent of all agricultural area is devoted to organic farming, on more than 1 per cent of all agricultural holding (Hau and Joaris, 2000) .Study reveals that (Hau and Joaris, 2000).Producers provide two causes behind this growing inclination towards organic farming. The first impetus was given by the embracement of t he 1992 Mac Sharry reform that maintained the 'principle of decoupling' that formed the disassociation between market price and income support. EC Regulation 2078/92 administers it thereby compensating those farmers who are dedicated to agricultural means that are least unhealthy for the environment and are practicing moderate and mild agriculture not severe one. Council regulation 2078/92 brought into practice some agri-environmental ways that will boost up the sustention and conservation of organic farming. One such way is financially assisting organic farmers by paying up if they suffer any income failure during the conversion. The second reason accounting for the increasing interest in organic farming is situated in financial context-bigger financial benefits of the farmers in a saturated agricultural market. The production of organic food has seemed to have formed a distinct and important part of market. Small farmers, mostly conventional, who are unable to extract large gains in agricultural productions dominated by progressive technologies, are specially inclined toward organic food production (Shifferstein and Oude Ophius, 1998). So for the causes that are environmental and ethical both there is a certain political enthusiasm and appeal to raise the percentage of organic food production. Some agricultural catastrophes as pig plagues, mad cow disease and the foot and mouth disease acted as catalyst in providing a positive impulse to the interest in organic food production. But there are few impediments too in the way of enlarging the size of production. One major obstacle is that consumers find organic food a little more costly as compared to normal food. So, certain reluctance is visible in

Wildlife Management Plan :: management of grassland birds
COVER The vegetation on this property is classified into 7 cover types (Fig. 3 and Appendix B). The property is largely dominated by agricultural land. Approximately 350 ac (141 ha) out of the 410 ac (165 ha) are cultivated for crop production. The dominant four crop types are soybeans, alfalfa, corn, and oats. The overstory consists of white oak (Quercus alba), black walnut (Jugalns nigra), and American elm (Ulmus americana). The shrub layer is sparsely located around the property and contains a lot of blackberry (Rubus allegheniensis), raspberry (Rubus idaeus), serviceberry (Amelanchier spp.), American halzelnut (Corylus americana), and staghorn sumac (Rhus typhina). The understory vegetation, located in the wooded areas on the property consists of bracken fern (Pteridium aquilinum), common plaintain (Plantago major), mayapple (Podophyllum peltatum), Pennsylvania sedge (Carex pensylvanica), grasses (Poa spp.), Mosses (Sphagnum spp.), dandelion (Taraxacum officinale), common mullein (V erbacum thaspus). A complete list of plant species can be found in Appendix B. STATUS OF WILDLIFE POPULATIONS: Inventory techniques used to identify wildlife consisted of direct observations, input from the landowner, and signs from the different wildlife species. Common bird species present on the management area were American robin (Turdus americanus), American crow (Corvus brachyrhynchos), European starling (Sturnus vulgaris), barn swallow (Hirundo rustica), red-winged blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus), sandhill crane (Grus canadensis), blue jay (Cyanocitta cristata), white-breasted nuthatch (Sitta carolinensis), bald eagle (Hallaeetus leucocephalus), turkey vulture (Cathartes aura), and red-tailed hawk (Buteo jamaicensis). Direct observations and input from the landowner identified these commonly found mammalian species: eastern chipmunk, (Tamias striatus), eastern gray squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis), white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus), coyote (Canis latrans), raccoon (Procyon lotor), red fox Vulpes vulpes), red squirrel (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus), eastern cottontail (Sylvilagus f loridanus), and Virginia opossum (Didelphis virginianus). Within our management property western meadowlarks and badgers are not as commonly found as white-tail deer. Grassland bird species are limited to small parcels of the property due to a lack of necessary habitat. Badgers have been seen on an infrequent basis within the management site. White-tail deer are seen at low densities and have the potential be more abundant with the right management plans. See Appendix C for a complete listing of wildlife species. REQUIREMENTS OF TARGET SPECIES: The first objective of our wildlife plan is to increase the density of the American badger population on the management site. American badgers are commonly found in open treeless habitats and grasslands (Scobie 2002).

Mananaging finance
This report will concentrate on the performance of the two aviation companies, Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific Ltd. and Singapore-based Singapore Airlines. The report will try to help the potential investor in the Asian airline industry to assess the prospects of both companies and their riskiness in regard to each other and the industry as a whole as well as the returns both companies have to offer to compensate for the risk of their financial position. 1. Profitability, growth, return on investment Profitability of the company is indicated by the return on equity ratio that shows the dollar return on each dollar of investment: Return on equity (ROE) = net income/ stockholdersââ¬â¢ equity Cathay has a ROE of 1,604/ 31,052 = 5.16% Singapore Airlinesââ¬â¢ ROE is 849.3/ 11,455.1 = 7.4% SA provides a better return on equity than Cathay, although the decrease in the annual income at Singapore Airlines in 2003 from 2002 represents a threat to its future earnings and return on equity while Cathayââ¬â¢s results demonstrate improved performance. Return on assets demonstrates how many dollars of income were generated by each dollar of investment and is calculated in the following way: Return on assets = net income/ total assets For Cathay Pacific Ltd. this figure is 1,604/ (54,686 + 20,351) = 1,604 / 75,037 = 2.14% For Singapore Airlines, return on assets is at 849.3/ 16,558.4 = 5.13% Thus Singapore Airlines is more efficient in using its assets and offers a better return on the funds tied up in assets. Another profitability measure is the operating margin that expresses operating profit as a percentage of the revenue. For Singapore Airlines, the operating margin is 680.4/ 9,761.9 = 6.97% For Cathay Pacific Ltd., this ratio is 285/ 2,393=11.9% As for growth, SIAââ¬â¢s revenue dropped in the 2003-2004 fiscal year to $9,761.9 million from $10,515.0 million, which represents a 7.7% decrease in revenue. The company executives explain this plunge with the effects of the SARS outbreak in the Asian region that had a devastating impact in the airline industry. Cathayââ¬â¢ revenue has as well shown a 11.9% decrease in revenue to $3,792 million from $4,242 million. The drop in revenue was reflected in the net income. At Cathay Pacific Ltd., net income was $167 million as opposed to $511 the year before which is a drop of 67.3%. The income dropped as the company was unable to drastically reduce its operating expenses or finance charges in the light of lower revenue. At Singapore Airlines, net income was down 20.2 % atà $849.3 million as compared to $1,064.8 million for 2002-2003 fiscal year. 2. Current financial position, liquidity, both long and short term, sources of finance The liquidity of the company is most often assessed in terms of the current ratio: Current ratio = current assets / current liabilities For Cathay Pacific Ltd. current ratio = 20,351/ 14,520 = 1.4 For Singapore Airlines, current ratio = 3,121.9/ 3,401.6 = 0.92 Usually companies are expected to have a current ratio that is no higher than 2.0, otherwise the company is believed to be in financial trouble. However, due to advances in information technology has enabled a lot of companies to minimize the need to hold cash, inventories and other liquid assets. As a result, a lot of successful companies are content to keep their current ratios lower than 1.0. This allows us to conclude that although Cathay seems to be in a better position in terms of short-term liquidity, SIAââ¬â¢a lower ratio does necessarily signify trouble. Another useful measure is the quick ratio that indicates how well a firm can satisfy existing short-term obligations with assets that can be converted into cash without difficulty and is computed as follows: Quick ratio = (cash + securities + receivables) / current liabilities Cathay Pacific Ltd. has a quick ratio of (15,200 + 4,573)/ 14,520 = 1.36 SAââ¬â¢ s quick ratio equals (0.4 + 130.2 + 1,518.5)/ 3,401.6 = 0.48 Again, based on current ratio, Cathay is much more liquid than Singapore Airlines as it has more assets that can be readily turned into cash. Long-term liquidity of the firm is evaluated using the debt ratio that specifies the overall ability of the company to repay its debts: Debt ratio = Total liabilities/ total assets According to the general rule of thumb, this ratio should not exceed 50%. For Cathay, the debt ratio is (29,361 + 14,520) /à (54,686 + 20,351) = 58.9% For Singapore Airlines, the debt ratio amounts to (446.7 + 2,175.3 + 2,207.2)/ 16,558.4 = 29.16% These calculations make it apparent that although Singapore Airlines is less liquid than Cathay Pacific Ltd., the Singaporean company has less long-term obligations and thus is less risky for the investor. Thus, Cathay relies primarily on debt to finance its operations, while Singapore Airlines is predominantly equity-financed. 3) Changes to the organizations and their effect At Singapore Airlines, a more streamlined organizational structure was introduced at the beginning of the financial year. Under the new structure, sixe senior executives including those heading Services and Operations, Marketing, Corporate Services, Finance, Human Resources and Planning will report directly to the CEO of the company. Hopefully, this simplified structure will make possible a speedier implementation of decisions. Cathay Pacific Ltd. basically retained the same corporate structure in the fiscal year analyzed. 4) The status of the companies in the financial markets and relative to their industry sector. In the aviation industry where both companies belong, the average market cap, according to Yahoo! Finance, is $895.52 million. Both Cathay with about $5.96 billion and SIA with $7.86 significantly exceed this number. On the other hand, revenue growth in the industry has been 12.8% on the average of late as opposed to the drop in the revenue of both airlines. As for profitability, the average operating margin for the airline industry is 6.81% compared to 6.97% at SIA. Cathay with 11.9% is well ahead of the market. The average return on equity in the aviation sector is 8.3% as compared to Cathay 5.16%, Singapore Airlines 7.4%. 5) Past performance and projected future trends Cathay Pacific Ltd. Cathay Pacific Ltd. is Hong Kongââ¬â¢s largest air carrier accounting for a third of all passenger flights through Hong Kong. Cathay owns a minority stake in its competitor Dragonair that holds another tenth of the market. Recently Cathay entered a contract with Air China that it will buy a 9.9% stake in the Air Chinaââ¬â¢s initial public offering. The partnership will allow joint marketing and sales activities, cooperation in engineering, ground handling, purchasing, security as well as better coordination of the two companiesââ¬â¢ schedules. This arrangement will allow Cathay to optimize its cost structure. The cooperation with Air China offers a strategic advantage as it provides improved access to Beijing Capital international Airport, a major hub in inland China. China is one of the worldââ¬â¢s fastest growing regional aviation markets and the one coveted by many carriers. Competition was until recently restricted by the limitations on the number of flights performed by foreign carriers imposed by the Chinese government. Cathay and Hong Kong have pressured Chinese authorities to allow more flights between Hong Kong and mainland China. Cathay management has been trying to get access to passenger flights between Hong Kong and Shanghai sooner than the agreed date of October 2006 when a second Hong Kong airline will be allowed to start serving Shanghai with passenger flights. Liberalization of these restrictions could boost Cathayââ¬â¢s revenue dramatically since this route is very lucrative because of heavy business travel. In 2003 Cathay resumed air services in mainland China after a 1-year absence from the market. Here it faces competition from its former partner Dragonair. Now it plans to make its three-time -a-week flights to Beijing daily in December, add even more Beijing flights next year and launch passenger services to Xiamen and cargo services to Shanghai. Regular air companies like Cathay and Dragonair now face tougher competition from budget carriers Air Asia from Malaysia and Virgin Blue of Australia forcing the veterans of the market to cut their costs. Earlier Cathay representatives admitted that the prices are somewhat higher in this market than in others but attributed this to the difference in exchange rates and other long-term factors. The tendency towards more open skies pursued by Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia will draw more passengers through their airports but can damage the market share and financial performance of Hong Kong airlines including Cathay. Asian governments are slowly dismantling obstacles on the way of foreign air carriers and can be expected to continue with this policy. This could improve Cathayââ¬â¢s prospects in mainland China but sharpen competition in Hong Kong itself. However, the epidemic of severe acute respiratory syndrome has attracted the publicââ¬â¢s attention to the benefit of having a local air carrier since Cathay kept flying at the time when foreign airlines suspended their operations. Overall, since Cathay is in the business of air cargo travel, it can be reasonably assumed to profit from the worldââ¬â¢s economic recovery projected to lead to above-average growth in the global airfreight market, according to a Lufthansa report (2004). Lufthansa experts base their assessment of tonnage increase of 5.9% in international air cargo market in 2004 on expectations of the boom in the Asian market and gradual recovery in North America. Singapore Airlines Singapore Airlines is also in the business of air transportation, engineering, airport terminal and pilot training. Its operations cover Asia, Europe, North and South America, South West Pacific and Africa. Due to this global focus, the company is also expected to benefit from the boom in the Asian market. Unlike Cathay, the diversity of the routes makes it easier for Singapore Airlines to balance its risks that can occur because of an economic downturn in one of the markets. Singapore Airlines is primarily focused in its business on the Asian business as it is the largest carrier in terms of market capitalization with $7.86 billion in market cap as compared with Cathay Pacific Ltd. with $5.96 billion. Singapore Airlines has posted strong second quarter results that beat analystsââ¬â¢ expectations. The reason behind strong growth is increase in travel demand. Singapore Airlines is listed on the first London Stock Exchange office in Asia, and on the first New York Stock Exchange office in Hong Kong along with 15 other Chinese companies. This development can contribute to greater transparency of their accounting procedures and lend credibility to their financial information, which in turn can help them bring down their cost of borrowing and attract more investorsââ¬â¢ money. There are a lot of European investment funds waiting to be put into the thriving Chinese economy. Investors are attracted by the huge potential of the Chinese outbound market that has already surpassed Japan as the top location in the Asia Pacific outbound ranking. After surviving an epidemic of SARS, the market is forecast by many analysts to return to very strong growth in 2004-2005. China outbound trip volume has increased about five times in the past decade. In 2002 the annual volume was 16.6 million outbound departures as compared to 3.7 in 1993. The market is predicted to show double-digit annual increases if only the outbreak of SARS is not repeated. Singapore Airlines is fully positioned to take advantage of this trend as it is one of the leading carriers in the Asian-Pacific region, so a dramatic rise in revenue can be expected. According to the corporate news, the company is making efforts at slashing its costs. On November 23, it announced the plan to outsource jobs in uplift flight coupon processing and some aspects of interline billings, making 66 jobs in the Finance Division. This effort could help raise the companyââ¬â¢s efficiency and improve the bottom line in the long run. The most important challenge for the airline industry is the rising fuel costs. Singapore Airlines admitted that higher fuel costs hold their halfyear net profit to $616 million. A lot for the airlines will depend on the evolution of the world oil prices. Further uncertainties surrounding the operation of the pipeline in Iraq or disruptions in Russia caused by the Yukos legal proceedings could drive up the oil price further up, negatively affecting Singapore Airlinesââ¬â¢ net income. According to the companyââ¬â¢s calculations, that a one-dollar-per-barrel increase in the oil price amounts to the additional $ 14 million fuel spending for Singapore Airlines. Another worry for the management of the airline is the advent of low-cost carriers that puts increasing pressure on the companyââ¬â¢s cost structure. All Asian carriers should hope that an epidemic of SARS will not be repeated as it had a devastating effect on the revenue of Singapore Airlines and other companies.
